General Information of This Receptor
Receptor ID
REC00054
Receptor Name
Bombesin receptor
Function
The bombesin receptors are a group of G-protein coupled receptors which bind bombesin. Bombesin has high affinity for the human GRPR, a G-protein-coupled receptor which is overexpressed by a variety of cancers, including prostate, breast, pancreas, gastrointestinal, and small-cell lung cancer, making radiolabeled bombesin analogues attractive candidates for targeting GRPR.
